Privacy and cookies in the Help Centre

You can use every Littles Baby Tracker user guide without allowing analytics. If you choose to allow it, limited guide-usage information helps us see which topics need clearer instructions or more attention in the app.

This page is about the public Help Centre at userguides.littlesbabytracker.com. For information about Littles Baby Tracker accounts and baby data, read the Littles Baby Tracker Privacy Policy.

Your choice

When you first visit the Help Centre, you can choose Allow analytics or No thanks. Google Analytics is not loaded and no guide analytics is sent until you choose Allow analytics.

Both choices let you keep reading the same guides. Your choice is saved only in your browser for up to 180 days, then the Help Centre asks again. If analytics is allowed, its guide-specific cookie also lasts for no more than 180 days and is restricted to the Help Centre hostname you are using.

What is measured after you allow analytics

The Help Centre may send:

  • the guide and guide topic you opened;
  • how you reached another guide, such as the guide menu, a related link, breadcrumbs or search results;
  • whether a Help Centre search returned results, together with broad ranges for the search length and number of results;
  • reading-depth milestones at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%;
  • visible-time milestones at 10, 30, 60 and 120 seconds — time in a background tab is not counted;
  • standard technical information used by Google Analytics, such as browser and device type, language, approximate region, referral or campaign source, and guide-specific browser and session identifiers.

Because some guide titles mention subjects such as sleep or allergies, the guide topic can indicate an area you are interested in. It is measured only after you allow analytics.

Google may process connection information, including an IP address, to provide Analytics and derive information such as an approximate region. Littles Baby Tracker does not receive an individual IP address in its Analytics reports. Read the Google Privacy Policy for more information about how Google handles data.

What is not sent to analytics

We do not send:

  • the words you type into Help Centre search;
  • your Littles Baby Tracker user ID, name or email address;
  • baby names, profiles, activity records, messages, questionnaires, notes or any other account content;
  • DokuWiki editor account details;
  • arbitrary information added to a Help Centre URL.

Advertising storage, advertising user data, personalised advertising and Google Signals remain disabled. Technical, development and operations pages are also excluded from public guide analytics.

Change or withdraw your choice

Use Analytics preferences in the footer on any Help Centre page. Choose No thanks to stop future analytics and remove the guide-specific Analytics cookies that this site can access. You can also clear this site's browser data using your browser settings.

Withdrawing your choice does not remove pseudonymous or aggregated information that was already sent. It also does not change the privacy settings inside the Littles Baby Tracker app.

How long reporting data remains

The 180-day browser limits above are separate from Google Analytics reporting retention. The Help Centre property keeps event and user data associated with cookies or identifiers for two months. Standard aggregated reports are not governed by that setting and may remain available for longer. Changing your choice stops future collection; it does not retrospectively delete reporting data already processed.

Retention settings and this notice will be reviewed if the Help Centre changes what it measures. A material change requires the Help Centre to ask for analytics permission again.
