View Analysis and trends
Analysis turns a baby's care records into totals, averages and charts. You can review one tracker or see an overview across several types of activity.
Who this guide is for
- Families with active premium access.
- Coaches who have permission to view Analysis for a supported family.
Tracking remains available without premium. See Subscriptions and premium access if Analysis is locked.
Open Analysis
Open Analysis from the family menu or from the coach's mobile family view. Check the baby name before reviewing the results.
The navigation includes:
- All-in-one;
- Sleep;
- Breastfeed;
- Bottles;
- Nappies;
- Pumping;
- Solids; and
- Medication.
If a family has hidden a tracker from Home, it is also hidden from the main Analysis navigation and the All-in-one summary. Its old records are not deleted.
Choose a date range
Use the range control to choose:
- Single Day;
- 7 Days;
- 14 Days;
- 30 Days; or
- Custom Range.
Use the previous and next controls to move by the complete range. Dates follow the family's timezone, including overnight sleep.
Read the statistics
Single Day shows totals and counts. Longer ranges show daily averages and trends where enough information is available.
Select a statistic to see a plain-language explanation of what it measures and how it was calculated. Depending on the tracker, the screen can show:
- feed, sleep, nappy, pumping, medication or meal counts;
- Breastfeeding, Pumping and Sleep duration;
- Bottle and Pumping volume in ml or oz;
- day and night sleep;
- wet, dirty and mixed nappies;
- common medication; and
- Solids reactions and Allergy Ladder progress.
An em dash means there is not enough suitable data for an honest average. For example, incomplete day-and-night Sleep records may not produce a combined daily average.
Use the charts
The activity schedule shows when events happened during the day. Some multi-day tracker views also include a daily bar chart:
- Breastfeed shows left and right duration.
- Bottles shows breast milk and formula volume.
- Sleep shows day and night duration.
- Nappies shows wet and dirty counts.
- Pumping shows left and right volume.
Single Day, All-in-one, Medication and Solids do not currently show a daily bar chart.
Open or correct a record from a chart
Select a point on the schedule to open the activity that created it. A family member can edit or delete it. A coach also needs activity-editing permission.
If the record changes elsewhere while it is open, reload it before saving so newer information is not overwritten.
Things to know
- Empty days are not always treated as recorded zeroes when averages are calculated.
- Mixed ml and oz records are converted for display without changing the original entries.
- A coach's baby choice in this view does not change the family's saved selection.
- Analysis access and permission to edit activities are separate. Some coaches can view charts but not change records.
If something goes wrong
- Analysis is locked: check the family's premium source and subscription status.
- No baby is selected: add or select a baby before loading results.
- Charts are empty: confirm the baby, tracker and date range; no matching records is not an error.
- Results look incomplete: check whether a tracker is hidden from Home or whether only part of the period was logged.
- A new range shows old results: wait for loading to finish or retry; do not assume labels and charts match until the refresh completes.
- Coach cannot edit a chart item: the coach may have Analysis access without activity-write permission.
