Family Home

Family Home brings the selected baby's everyday care into one place. It shows quick links to trackers, recent activity and useful family updates.

Who this guide is for

  • Family members using their own account.
  • Authorized coaches viewing a supported family in the mobile app.

What you can see

At the top of Home you will see the selected baby's name and image. Below it are shortcuts for:

  • Breastfeed;
  • Bottles;
  • Sleep;
  • Nappies;
  • Pumping;
  • Medication; and
  • Solids.

Each visible shortcut shows when that type of activity was last recorded, or No logs yet. You may also see an Allergy Ladders shortcut, an invitation from a coach, running timers or an available app update.

Choose the baby you are viewing

Use the baby switcher in the family menu when your account has more than one baby. The chosen baby is also used by tracking, Analysis, reminders and Allergy Ladders.

Family members can select the baby image on Home to edit that baby's profile. Coaches viewing a family can switch between existing babies, but their choice does not change the family's saved selection.

Record an activity

Select a tracker card to open it for the current baby. You can then use its quick entry, timer or full form, depending on the activity type.

See Track daily activities for complete instructions.

Review recent activity

The Latest Activity area groups every record by its actual family-local calendar date, so feeds and other wake-ups logged after midnight stay chronologically beside the surrounding sleep entries. It shows a short summary and any note preview. Each group also shows the Sleep day total used by Analysis; overnight sleep after midnight can contribute to the previous sleep day's total even though its activity row remains under its actual calendar date. When you choose an older date, the heading changes to Activity on [date] so it is clear that the rows are historical results.

  1. Select a row to view or edit it when you have permission.
  2. To find an older record, use the date picker under Find activity by date. Home goes straight to activity from that date across every tracker type, so you do not need to keep selecting Load more activity.
  3. Select Clear date to return to the recent activity you had already loaded.
  4. Use Load more activity to see older records.
  5. If loading more fails, the records already on screen remain available.
  6. When you edit an older loaded row, Home keeps the older page loaded and returns to the same part of the list after the editor closes.

Choose which shortcuts appear

Open Choose Activities on Home to show or hide each tracker and the Allergy Ladder bubble.

When you hide trackers, the remaining shortcuts arrange into two equal columns. If there is an odd number, the final shortcut fills its row. The greeting stays at the top while you scroll, with a clear gap separating it from the content below.

Hiding a shortcut does not delete its old records and does not stop you from using that tracker elsewhere. Hidden trackers are also left out of the main Analysis navigation. If you hide every shortcut, Home explains how to add them back.

Only a family member using their own account can change these choices. A coach sees the family's saved layout but cannot alter it.

Invitations, timers and updates

  • A pending coach invitation can appear on Home. Review the details and consent before accepting, or decline it.
  • Running Breastfeed, Sleep and Pumping timers remain available as floating controls while you move around the app.
  • When a downloaded app update is ready, an Update action may appear. Use it to restart into the new version.

These account-level actions are hidden when a coach is viewing the family.

When a coach views Family Home

A banner identifies the family and family timezone and provides an option to exit the view. The coach sees only information allowed by the current support relationship. Editing depends on the coach's permissions, and family account settings are not shown.

If something goes wrong

  • No baby is shown: open the family menu and add or select a baby.
  • Home says it is showing cached data: the displayed information may be older. Reconnect and choose Retry before making decisions based on it.
  • An image will not load: the app falls back to a baby icon; retry after checking your connection.
  • A record changed while you were editing: reload it before saving so you do not overwrite newer information.
  • Coach view stops working: the support relationship or permission may have changed. Exit the view and check the family in the coach portal.
